PITTSBURG — The schedule has been set for the 2025 River City Holiday Classic to be played Dec. 16-17 at San Antonio, Texas and co-hosted by Pittsburg State University and the University of Central Oklahoma.

Already one of the nation's top NCAA Division II men's basketball neutral site tournaments, this year's field has expanded from 10 teams in its inception in 2024 to 16 squads this year, with games to be played at St. Mary's University and at Northside Sports Gym.

This marks the third year Pitt State and UCO have partnered to host a neutral site tournament with the Gorillas and Bronchos reviving the High Desert Classic at Las Vegas in 2023.

In addition to the co-hosts, this year's field features four additional MIAA schools:  Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Missouri, Rogers State and Washburn. The field also includes Dallas Baptist, Lubbock Christian, Midwestern State, St. Edward's, St. Mary's, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Texas Permian Basin and West Texas A&M from the Lone Star Conference; Fort Lewis from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference; and Missouri-St. Louis from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

"We are very excited to see the River City Holiday Classic expand to 16 teams this year," PSU Vice President for Athletics Jim Johnson said. "Last year's tournament was a great success and we are looking to build upon that for another two days of national caliber NCAA Division II basketball."
