PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team is set to begin the week at home against Southwestern Oklahoma and end the weekend on the road against East Central.

On Thursday (Sept. 18), Pitt State and SWOSU will face off at 4:00 p.m. (CT) at the Gorilla Soccer Pitch. East Central will host the Gorillas on Saturday (Sept. 20) at 1:00 p.m., at the Tiger Soccer Field.

Coming off a pair of wins last week, the Gorillas are 3-1 on the season and have outscored their opponents 9-4.

Ella Cazzavillan and
Sailor Jensen lead the team with two goals each, with Cazzavillan leading the team with eight shots. Eight individuals have provided an assist this season, as
Danae Hobson leads the team for shots on goal with six.
Jocelyn Kramar in 284:25 minutes in goal has recorded two shutouts and six saves for a 0.32 GAA.

Southwestern Oklahoma enters the week with a 4-0 record, scoring 13 goals and conceding five. The Bulldogs last week faced off against Newman (Sept. 11) and Missouri Southern (Sept. 14), scoring five goals in each match.
Saoirse Hourigan leads the team with four goals with Braelee Epp and Ruth Vasquez the other goal scorers to net more than one goal this season. Epp is joined by Elise LaForge and Phillippine de Sancy with two assists provided. Emma Young has a 1.25 GAA with 18 saves and two shutouts in 360 minutes in goal.

East Central begins the weekend with a 0-4 record, having scored two goals while allowing 13. Last week the Tigers fell 3-1 against Oklahoma Christian (Sept. 10) and 5-1 against St. Mary's (Sept. 13) on the road.
Giselle Heck and Lauren Mora have scored a goal this season for ECU with Melieah Hinnant claiming an assist. In goal, Madison Mayhall has started each game and accounts for a 3.39 GAA in 291:42 minutes, saving 24 shots.
