KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University junior guard
Connor Rogers has been named to the 2026 Bevo Francis Top 100 Watchlist for the 2025-26 season by Small College Basketball.
Rogers, a junior from Starkville, Miss., is averaging 20.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 18 games for the Gorillas. He ranks second in the MIAA and 23
rd in NCAA Division II in scoring. Rogers has eclipsed 20 points in 10 games, including a career best 39-point output against Sioux Falls on Nov. 14 and a 35-point performance vs. Quincy on Nov. 24.
The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball, which includes NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA. Considerations include season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements.
The 2025-26 campaign marks the ninth year of the Bevo Francis Award. Past winners include Dominez Burnett of Davenport University in 2016, Justin Pitts of Northwest Missouri State University in 2017, Emanuel Terry of Lincoln Memorial University in 2018, Aston Francis of Wheaton College in 2019, Kyle Mangas of Indiana Wesleyan University in 2020 and Trevor Hudgins of Northwest Missouri State University in 2022. In 2023, RJ Sunahara of Nova Southeastern was named the winner, while in 2024 Elijah Malone of Grace College received the honor. Last year, the Bevo Francis Award went to MJ Iraldi of Nova Southeastern.
