Gorillas Set to Host Mules in Home Finale Saturday

PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University football team will return to Carnie Smith Stadium Saturday (Nov. 7) for a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association match-up against the University of Central Missouri. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (CST).

Pitt State will bring a 3-6 overall record (3-4 MIAA) into Saturday's action. The Gorillas saw their two-game winning streak snapped in a 23-13 road loss to Missouri Southern State University last Saturday (Oct. 31) at Joplin. Pitt State had posted back-to-back wins over Missouri Western State University (45-42) and the University of Central Oklahoma (52-14) the previous two weeks.

Saturday's regular season home finale will serve as both Senior Day and Pitt State's Salute to Service contest. The Gorillas will honor their 22-member outgoing senior class during pregame ceremonies.

Central Missouri is 6-3 overall and 5-2 in MIAA play entering Saturday's tilt. The Mules are fresh off a 31-13 home win over Fort Hays State University last Saturday.
