Gorillas Drop 78-70 Home Decision to Griffons Wednesday

Box Score PITTSBURG -- Ty Henry scored a game-high 25 points to lead visiting Missouri Western State University to a 78-70 victory over the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team Wednesday (Feb. 11).

Henry made eight of 12 shots from the field to lead three Griffons in double figures in the game. Marko Pavlovic added 18 points, while Noah King posted 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Connor Rogers scored a team-leading 20 points for the Gorillas on seven of 18 shooting from the floor. Mason English hit five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points and six assists, while Donald Coats chipped in with 14 points and nine rebounds. Pitt State (13-10, 7-6 MIAA) was held to 41.8 percent shooting (28-67) and Western (16-9, 8-6 MIAA) owned a 41-29 edge in rebounding in the contest.

Pitt State will seek to bounce back Saturday (Feb. 14) when the Gorillas play host to Northwest Missouri at 3:30 p.m. (CST) at John Lance Arena.
