PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is excited to announce the 2026 Gorilla Kickoff Party and Auction will take place Friday, August 14, at the Robert W. Plaster Center.

The Gorilla Kickoff Party and Auction brings together Gorilla fans, alumni, coaches, and supporters for an evening celebrating Pitt State Athletics. Fans are encouraged to wear their crimson and gold and enjoy a night filled with food trucks, drinks, raffles, yard games, live and silent auction, and opportunities to connect with fellow Gorillas and Pitt State coaches and staff.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The cost to attend is $50 per person or reserved tables are available for purchase. Registration for the Gorilla Kickoff Party and Auction is available online.

This year's event will feature an enhanced auction experience through OneCause, allowing supporters onsite in the Plaster Center to bid on silent action items, as well as patrons who are unable to attend in person. Those not in attendance will be able to bid remotely from their mobile devices or computers.

The evening's excitement will culminate with the annual Live Auction that will be offered exclusively for in person bidding and will feature the world famous Nigro Brothers Auctioneers from Kansas City. The 20-item live auction menu will showcase unique experiences, Pitt State memorabilia, travel packages, professional sports items, and more.
