Biography

Third-year player... a talented outfielder looking to build upon an All-MIAA junior season... primed for a big senior season.

In 2011: Started 38 games for the Gorillas... batted .349 with a team-leading 10 doubles, six home runs and 36 RBIs... enjoyed 13 multiple-hit games, including three three-hit games... twice drove in four runs... earned honorable mention All-MIAA honors.

In 2010: Saw action in 33 games, including 22 starts... batted .282 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs... went 4-for-4 with a double, triple and two HRs vs. Drury (Apr. 28)... also had two HRs and four RBIs vs. Emporia State (Apr. 10)... ended the season on a modest five-game hitting streak.

In Junior College: Played one season at Crowder College (2009)... batted .387 with 12 doubles, four home runs and 40 RBIs... missed the 2008 season with a knee injury... In

High School: A two-time All-Conference performer at Neosho High School... a three-year starter for the Wildcats.

Personal: Born April 29, 1989... son of Tim and Lori Barnes... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and the MIAA All-Academic Team... has a 3.40 GPA a finance major.
