Second-year player… a hard-working middle infielder who will look to make an impact for the Gorillas again this spring… In 2016: Started 31 of 34 games played… batted .250 with 18 runs scored, two home runs and 12 RBI… enjoyed four multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 outing with a home run and three RBI vs. Nebraska-Kearney (Apr. 15)… In High School: A second-team Kansas Class 6A All-State selection as a senior at Lawrence Free State High School in 2015… helped the Firebirds to a 21-4 record and the Class 6A state title his senior season… a three-time All-Sunflower League honoree… Personal: Born August 30, 1996… son of Pat and Mary Beth Karlin… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.40 GPA as a marketing major.
