Pittsburg State Gorillas

Third-year player… a talented athlete... a returning All-MIAA performer… expected to contend for playing time behind the plate again for the Gorillas this spring.
 
In 2013: Appeared in 47 games, starting 45… batted .326 with seven doubles and 24 RBIs… posted 12 multi-hit games on the year… went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a stolen base vs. Nebraska-Kearney (March 3.)
 
In 2012: Appeared in 25 games, including 19 starts… batted .254 with nine RBIs on the season… enjoyed three multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance with two RBIs vs. NW Missouri State (Apr. 21).

In Junior College: Spent one season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College... helped the Norse to a regional runner-up finish.

In High School: A Kansas Class 3A All-State performer at Galena High... helped the Bulldogs to the 2010 Class 3A state title... also an All-State football player at GHS.

Personal: Born December 30, 1991... son of Doug and Wendy Martin... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.02 GPA as an early/late childhood education major.
