Biography

Second-year player... a talented infielder who is primed for a breakout senior season... figures to be a key performer for the Gorillas this spring.

In 2011: Saw action in 38 games, including 33 starts at first base... batted .209 with two doubles and 11 RBIs... enjoyed six multiple-hit games... also made two pitching appearances for the Gorillas.

In Junior College: Played two seasons at Cowley Community College... batted .338 for the Tigers... helped Cowley to a 48-15 record and an NJCAA World Series berth in 2009.

In High School: A two-time All-State performer at Bishop Ward High... helped the Cyclones to a Kansas state record 45 straight victories including the 2007 Class 3-4A state title... batted .383 with two HRs and 43 RBIs... also posted an 8-1 record on the mound.

Personal: Born April 3, 1990... son of Pat and Debbie Garcia... an international business major.
