Pittsburg State Gorillas

Second-year player… a talented utility player for the Gorillas… expected to make an impact as a catcher and right-handed pitcher.

In 2014: Started 26 of 27 games played… batted a team-leading .347 with 11 runs scored and 16 RBI… recorded 11 multi-hit games on the year, including a four-hit effort vs. Newman (Mar. 11)… on the mound, made seven starts while posting a 3-2 record with a 5.35 ERA… registered 34 strikeouts in 37 innings of work… allowed just two hits in 6.0 innings of work in his Pitt Statte debut earning the win vs. Oklahoma Christian (Feb. 15).

In Junior College:  Spent one season at Allen County Community College... batted .288 with two HRs and 22 RBI… earned All-Jayhawk Conference honors as a pitcher after posting a 3-2 record with a 3.86 ERA in 35.0 inning of work… struck out 45 batters on the year… signed with the University of Kansas out of high school.

In High School:  A four-year letterman for the Panthers… earned All-State, All-League and All-County accolades all four seasons… was a career .482 hitter with 19 homers and 151 RBIs… posted a 21-0 record on the mound with 253 strikeouts in 139 innings.

Personal:  Born October 7, 1992... son of Gene and Lesa Arnold... a general studies major.
