Fourth-year player… a returning All-MIAA outfielder for the Gorillas… In 2022: Started 14 of 16 games played… hit .298 with eight runs scored, five doubles, one home run and 14 RBI… battled injury that cut short his season… In 2021: Started all 45 games played… batted .320 with 38 runs scored, 11 doubles, four triples, four HRs and 35 RBI… hit safely in 33 of 45 games… enjoyed 19 multiple-hit games… posted five RBI in the season opener vs. Mo. Western (Feb. 22)… went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, HR & four RBI vs. Washburn (Mar. 15)… garnered second-team All-MIAA honors… In 2020: Started 20 of 21 games played… batted .286 with 16 runs scored, six doubles, five HRs and 20 RBI… transferred to Pitt State from Wichita State University… At WSU: Redshirted in his only season at Wichita State in 2019… In High School: A first-team Kansas Class 6A All-State performer as a senior at Olathe South High School in 2018… also a Rawlings Gold Glove selection…hit .390 and had a .500 on-base percentage as a senior…hit .328 with a .412 as a junior… Personal: Born August 17, 1999… son of Mark and Angela Koval… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… graduated with a bachelor’s degree in justice studies… has a perfect 4.00 GPA pursuing a master’s in business administration (MBA) degree.
