Biography

General: Third-year player… a hard working defensive lineman who is seeking a breakthrough senior campaign… expected to vie for playing time for the Gorillas this fall… transferred to Pitt State from Blinn College.

In 2021-22: Redshirted in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2021)… did not see any action for the Gorillas in 2022.

In Junior College: Spent one season at Blinn (2020) after transferring from Texas A&M University-Kingsville… played two seasons with the Javelinas (2018-19).

In High School: A three-time Texas Class 4A All-State performer at Sinton High School… earned first-team All-State honors in each of his final two prep years… also an All-District selection in basketball and an All-Region track & field athlete for the Pirates.

Personal: Born December 5, 1999… son of Kenna Smart… a criminal justice major.
