Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Second-year player… a returning All-MIAA performer in the defensive secondary… transferred to Pitt State from the University of Toledo… a talented safety who will look to be an impact performer for the Gorillas again this fall… a 2023 PSU team captain.

In 2022: Saw action in all 13 games, including nine starts at safety… posted 33 tackles (25 solo) with 2.0 tackles-for-loss, one interception, eight pass breakups and one fumble recovery… made an interception and two PBUs in the NCAA playoffs vs. UIndy (Nov. 19)… logged a season-high seven tackles in the NCAA playoffs vs. Ferris State (Nov. 26)… also logged a pair of PBUs in a win vs. NWMSU (Oct. 8).

At Toledo: Spent four seasons at the University of Toledo (2018-2021)… played in all 13 games as a sophomore in 2021.

In High School: A third-team Ohio Division II All-State performer as a senior at Cleveland’s Benedictine High School in 2017… helped the Bengals to a state championship as a freshman in 2014.

Personal: Born October 10, 1999… son of James Wilson and Ryan Lacey… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.28 GPA as a graphic communications major.
