Vince Walker begins his third year as a member of the Pittsburg State University men’s basketball coaching staff, his first year as an assistant coach after serving for two seasons as a graduate assistant.
Walker came to Pitt State after completing his playing career at NCAA Division II University of Illinois-Springfield. The native of Ankeny, Iowa played four seasons for his father, Bill Walker, at UIS. He is the school’s all-time leader in 3-point field goals made and ranks 4th all-time in points scored.
Walker earned a bachelor’s degree in business and communications from Illinois-Springfield in 2019. He completed his master’s degree in human resource development from Pitt State in 2021.
