Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Second-year player... a talented combo player who enjoyed a productive junior season… figures to play a key role for the Gorillas again this winter..

In 2013-14: Started 11 of 25 games played… averaged 7.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game… shot 45.3 percent from the field (62 of 137) and 39.3 percent from 3-point range (35 of 89)… scored 10 or more points eight times, including a season-best 18 points vs. Avila (Nov. 23)… averaged 11.3 points in the Gorillas' final six games… made a season-high four 3-pointers vs. Missouri Southern (Feb. 22).

At St. Edward's: Spent two seasons at St. Edward’s University... averaged 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game as a sophomore.

In High School: A three-year starter at Sonora High School… averaged 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game… earned All-County honors during his senior season… also a first-team All-League selection his junior and senior seasons… helped the Raiders to a 27-3 record as a junior and 22-7 finish his senior year.

Personal: Born July 13, 1992... son of Kevin and Melinda Kjer... an exercise science major.
