Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: First-year player ... transferred to Pitt State from NJCAA Division II Long Beach Community College... an experienced scorer with a high basketball IQ... will look to make an immediate impact in the backcourt for the Gorillas.
 
At Long Beach (Calif.) Community College: Spent two seasons at Long Beach City College... averaged 11.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while helping LBCC to back-to-back South Coast Conference championships... also a two-time first-team All-SCC recipient.
 
In High School:  A two-time All-Marine League performer at San Pedro High School... averaged 12 points, five rebounds and five assists at San Pedro High School... also a two-time All-Marine League volleyball player.
 
Personal: Born December 28, 1994... son of Gary and Cynthia Gaines... a biology major.
