Enters his sixth year in the Pitt State track & field program… an elite thrower for the Gorillas… an NCAA Division II All-America performer in the hammer throw… placed sixth in the hammer throw at the 2019 NCAA-II Outdoor Championships (201-5)… also a national qualifier in the weight throw… a four-time All-MIAA performer in the throws… ranks No. 2 in PSU history in the weight throw (65-11) and the hammer throw (210-6)… also a five-year member of the Pitt State football program (defensive end)… In High School: A Kansas Class 3A state champion in the shot put at Caney Valley High School… also the Class 3A state champion in the discus as a senior in 2015… Personal: Born September 15, 1995… son of Jeff and Mary Wyrick… an MIAA Academic Excellence Award receipient, an MIAA Scholar Athlete and a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… a two-time NCAA Elite 90 Award recipient… a five-time CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America recipients in the sports of football and track & field… the 2019-20 CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America of the Year for Division II Men's Cross Country/Track & Field… also the 2018-19 MIAA Ken B. Jones Award receipient and the 2019-20 MIAA Male Winter Student-Athlete of the Year… graduated from PSU with a perfect 4.00 GPA as a physical education major… has a 4.00 GPA pursuing a master's degree in educational leadership.
