Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Completed her second season in the Pitt State program in 2025 ... Gained starting experience last spring, aiming to be a key piece for the Gorillas once again in 2026.

2025: Started in 29 of the 36 games she appeared in for the Gorillas ... Finished the season with 16 hits, 15 walks drawn, 14 runs scored, 10 RBI, three doubles and two home runs ... At first base, recorded 119 putouts, eight assists and one error for a .992 fielding percentage.

2024: Appeared in 16 games off the bench with experience gained at third base in the field and serving as a pinch hitter or runner for the nationally ranked and division II national tournament appearance Gorillas ... Finished the season with one run scored against Delta State (Feb. 28) with hits against Oklahoma Baptist (Feb. 9) and Delta State (Feb. 28) while recording a putout at third base against Sioux Falls (Feb. 24).

HS: Helped lead Bentonville High to consecutive Arkansas Class 6A state titles entering her senior prep season of 2023 ... Hit .405 as a junior in 2022 with 10 home runs and 33 RBIs while helping the Tigers to a 24-3 overall record ... Peterson was named to the 2022 All-State Tournament Team.
 
Personal: Daughter of Ryan and Kari Peterson ... Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll twice with a 3.92 GPA as an exercise science major ... Favorite pregame snack and ritual is enjoying multiple Slim Jims.
