Courtney Moran


Courtney Moran enters her first year as the top assistant coach for the Pittsburg State University women's basketball program, after being hired on June 23, 2020.

Moran comes to Pitt State after serving the past year as the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Nebraska Omaha. She brings four years of basketball coaching experience to the Gorilla Women’s Basketball program.
 
Moran also served during the 2018-19 season as recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at NCAA Division II member University of Sioux Falls. Prior to USF, she spent two years as a graduate assistant coach at MIAA rival Northeastern State University.
 
As a player, Moran was a two-year team captain at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and an All-Conference pick her senior season. As a junior she helped the Lady Eagles to the program’s first ever NAIA National Tournament appearance.
 
A native of Blanchard, Okla., Moran earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Oklahoma Wesleyan in May 2016 and a master’s degree in kinesiology from Northeastern State in May 2018.

Courtney and her husband, Dakota, were married April 11, 2020.
