PITTSBURG -- Missouri Western completed a four-game MIAA series sweep of Pitt State Saturday (Apr. 14) at Al Ortolani Field, completing a suspended game and sweeping two more games from the Gorillas.

The Griffons and Gorillas completed a game suspended Friday evening due to rain with Western leading 10-0 in the top of the sixth inning. The Griffons went on to claim a 15-1 victory over Pitt State.

Western then swept Saturday's scheduled twinbill by 13-5 and 17-6 counts.

The losses drop Pitt State to 12-23 overall and 10-20 in MIAA play. Western improved to 27-11 overall and 20-8 in MIAA action.

The Gorillas will return to action Tuesday (Apr. 17) when they travel to Muskogee, Okla., to face Bacone College in a pair of games starting at 1 p.m. (CDT).
