Brewer Selected CSC Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for D2 Baseball

Voss Also Garners Second-Team Academic All-America® Accolades

AUSTIN, Texas — Two members of the Pittsburg State University baseball team garnered College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® accolades Tuesday (June 23), including senior outfielder Dagen Brewer who was additionally selected the NCAA Division II Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year. Graduate pitcher Zach Voss also was tabbed to the second-team Academic All-America® squad.

Brewer, a Topeka native, has a 3.57 GPA as a construction management major. This season, Brewer has been named the National Player of the Year by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association and the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's of America (NCBWA), while being a consensus first-team All-American (ABCA, D2CCA & NCBWA) in the outfield after his historic season.

Brewer set a new Division II record for runs batted in a season with 107, while claiming the triple crown in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association with a .442 batting average, 26 home runs and the aforementioned RBI tally. He ranks in the top 10 in Division II for RBI (1st), RBI per game (1st, 1.91), slugging percentage (1st, .970), home runs (2nd), home runs per game (2nd, 0.46), total bases (2nd, 191), doubles (3rd, 24), walks (3rd, 58), on-base percentage (3rd, .573), runs scored (T-4th, 87), runs scored per game (T-4th, 1.55), batting average (7th) and walks per game (8th, 1.04) in 2026.

Voss, an Iberia, Mo., native, has a 3.78 GPA pursuing a master's degree in health, human performance and recreation (HHPR). He garnered second-team All-Central Region and second-team All-MIAA honors in 2026, while posting a 12-2 record with a 3.52 ERA and 1.10 WHIP on the season. Voss registered 55 strikeouts and allowed just 19 walks in 76.2 innings pitches across 15 starts, allowing a .226 opponent batting average. He tied the Pitt State single season record with 12 wins. Among Division II ranks, he finished the season fifth in victories, 18th for WHIP and 50th for fewest walks allowed per nine innings (2.23).

Brewer is the seventh Pitt State student-athlete to earn Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year honors for their respective sport, joining baseball's Eric Miller who received the elite honor in 1994.
