Saturday's Family Day Game Sold Out - No Walk-Up Tickets Available

PITTSBURG -- For the first time since the expansion of Brandenburg Field/Carnie Smith Stadium in 2000, Pittsburg State University has sold out all available tickets and distributed all available seats to PSU students at the venue prior to game day.

There will be no walk-up tickets available at the stadium Saturday when the box office opens at 5:00 pm. (CDT). The only tickets still to be distributed Saturday will be those reserved by PSU players for their families/guests, as well as those purchased in advance for "will call" pick-up.

"This is an historic occasion," PSU athletic director Jim Johnson said. "We truly are appreciative of the support of Gorilla Nation for purchasing advance tickets as well as our PSU students who have picked up their advance complimentary tickets. We are looking forward to a great Family Day atmosphere tomorrow."

Pitt State played before the second-largest crowd in Brandenburg Field/Carnie Smith Stadium history -- 10,754 fans -- in its home opener against Central Oklahoma on Sept. 8.

The Gorillas enter Saturday's Family Day contest against MIAA rival Lincoln University 3-0 on the season and ranked No. 1 in the AFCA/Division II Top 25 poll.
