PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State baseball team will open a three-game MIAA series against Nebraska-Kearney Sunday (Mar. 3) at Al Ortolani Field. The Gorillas and Lopers will play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. (CST) then complete the series with a single game Monday (Mar. 4) at 1 p.m.

The series originally was scheduled to be played at Kearney, Neb., but inclement weather forced the switch in venue.

The Gorillas are 3-1 overall and 1-1 in MIAA action. Pitt State split a pair of one-run games against Northeastern State Thursday (Feb. 28) at Tahlequah, Okla. The Lopers are 4-3 overall and 4-1 in MIAA action to date.
