Game 1 | Game 2 | Season Statistics

ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Lindenwood University used a pair of strong pitching performances to sweep an MIAA doubleheader from Pittsburg State University Saturday (Apr. 20) at the Lou Brock Sports Complex. The Lions limited the Gorillas to a pair of hits in a 4-0 victory in game one and LU broke open a 3-2 game with a four-run sixth inning in a 7-2 win in the nightcap.

The two teams will complete their three-game series with a 1 p.m. (CDT) contest Sunday (Apr. 21).

Dylan Terrell (5-6) limited Pitt State (23-18, 19-16 MIAA) to two hits in picking up a seven-inning complete-game win in the series opener. The Lions did all their scoring in the third-inning against the Gorillas' Matt Stalcup (5-3), capitalizing on a pair of walks and three hits in the frame.

In game two, the Lions (18-22, 16-16 MIAA) again used a four-run inning – this time in the sixth frame to break open a tight game. Austin Klein (4-3) scattered six hits over eight innings for the Lions.

Luke Bordewick went 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI to lead the Gorillas in the nightcap.
