WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The University of Central Missouri baseball team completed a four-game MIAA series sweep of Pittsburg State University Sunday (Mar. 9) at Tompkins Field/Crane Stadium.
The Mules posted 8-2 and 19-2 victories over the Gorillas. The losses drop Pitt State to 5-10 overall and 4-8 in MIAA play.
Cody Ball belted a two-run home run for the Gorillas only runs in the nightcap as Pitt State managed just five hits as a team. Ball also singled home a run and hit a solo home run for the Gorillas two runs in game one.
Pitt State will return to action Tuesday (Mar. 11) when the Gorillas travel to Wichita, Kan., to face Newman University in a single game at 3 p.m.
