WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The No. 15 Central Missouri Jennies got the best of the Pitt State Volleyball team on Saturday (Oct. 31), as they took a 3-0 victory over the Gorillas, 25-10, 25-20 and 25-18.
Though the Gorillas scored more points in the second set, the team put together a better game statistically in the third set. After hitting just .000 and .029 in the first two sets, PSU came back in set three and put down 13 kills with no errors in 30 attempts for a .433 hitting percentage. The Jennies hit .327 for the match. The Gorillas outblocked the home team 3.0 to 1.0. The Jennies were helped by nine service aces in the match.
Taylor unke le Pitt State with five kills and no errors for a .455 hitting percentage. Erin Wolford, Lana DaSilva, Lauren Regier and Lexi Fulghum each put down four kills. Regier also had no errors in the match for a .444 attack percentage. Wolford led the Gorillas with two block assists.Â
Pitt State will play its last road game of the season on Tuesday (November 3) at 6 p.m. in Edmond, Okla. before returning home for the final four matches of the season.
