PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will open its 2015 campaign Thursday (Feb. 5) when the Gorillas take part in the Quicktrip DII Classic at Grand Prairie, Texas.

Pitt State will play four games in four days against NCAA Division II foes at Quiktrip Park. The Gorillas will face Southwestern Oklahoma at 7 p.m. (CST) Thursday, before taking the field against Arkansas-Monticello at 7 p.m. Friday. Pitt State then will square off against Ouachita Baptist at 7 p.m. Saturday before wrapping up the classic action against Southern Arkansas at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Gorillas return five position players who started 17 or more games in 2014, and Pitt State welcomes back nine pitchers who saw action on the mound a year ago.
