PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will host Lincoln University in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday (Apr. 15). First pitch is set for 2 p.m. (CDT) at Al Ortolani Field.

The Gorillas enter the twinbill with a 12-23 overall record and an 8-16 mark in MIAA play. Pitt State dropped three of four games to For Hays State University in a weekend. The Blue Tigers are 2-34 overall and 1-23 in MIAA play.

The two teams originally were scheduled to play a four-game MIAA series in Pittsburg Feb. 27 - Mar. 1 but the series was cancelled due to inclement weather. The two squads then elected to play two non-conference tilts against one another to help fill the scheduling void.
