PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will travel to Joplin, Mo., Wednesday (Apr. 22) to face Missouri State University in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. (CDT) at the MSSU Baseball Field.

The Gorillas bring a 16-25 overall record into Wednesday's action, after taking three of four games from the University of Central Oklahoma last Thursday and Friday (Apr. 16-17) at Al Ortolani Field. The Lions are 32-9 overall and ranked No. 17 nationally.

Pitt State and MSSU split a non-conference twinbill on Mar. 24 with the Gorillas taking a 9-7 decision before the Lions countered with a 1-0 win.

Wednesday's action are part of the State Farm Trophy Series between Pitt State and MSSU.
