Washburn Series Pushed Back A Day

PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team has pushed back by a day its three-game MIAA series against Washburn University. The Gorillas and Ichabods originally were scheduled to open the series Friday (Mar. 18) at 5 p.m.

The two teams now will meet Saturday (Mar. 19) at 3 p.m. at Al Ortolani Field, with game two slated for 3 p.m. Sunday (Mar. 20) and game three set for 1 p.m. Monday (Mar. 21).

Pitt State enters the series 5-13 overall and 0-9 in MIAA play. The Gorillas are seeking to halt a 10-game losing streak after dropping a 12-2 non-conference decision to Missouri University of Science & Technology Wednesday (Mar. 16). Washburn is 10-9 overall and 5-4 in MIAA action.
