PITTSBURG — The University of Central Oklahoma baseball team capitalized on a 10-run first inning and rode the big lead to a 14-1 victory over Pittsburg State University in seven innings Saturday (Mar. 26).
The Bronchos (19-8, 11-5 MIAA) swept the three-game MIAA series from the Gorillas (6-19, 1-15 MIAA) with the victory.
Pitt State broke up UCO's shutout bid with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jacob Boylan walked, advanced to second, took third on a wild pitch and scored on Christian Arnold's sacrifice fly.
