PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will host MIAA rival Missouri Southern State University Wednesday (Apr. 13). First pitch is set for 6 p.m. (CDT) at Al Ortolani Field.

The Gorillas enter Wednesday's action 9-24 overall, 4-20 in the MIAA and riding a three-game winning streak after sweeping a three-game series from Lincoln University last weekend in Pittsburg. Pitt State posted 10-8, 15-9 and 11-1 victories over the Blue Tigers.

The Lions come in with a 24-11 overall record and a 14-10 mark in MIAA play. MSSU took two of three games from Northwest Missouri State University last weekend. The Lions won 7-4 and 7-6 before dropping a 19-15 decision Sunday.
