PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will travel to Joplin, Mo., Tuesday (Apr. 11) to face Missouri Southern State University. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. (CDT) at Warren Turner Field.

The Gorillas enter Tuesday's action 13-22 overall and 7-14 in MIAA play. Pitt State claimed a 4-3 victory over Northeastern State University in its last outing on Apr. 4. The Lions, who are seeking to halt a three-game losing streak, are 20-18 overall and 12-12 in MIAA play.

As a team, Pitt State is batting .303 on the season and averaging 7.1 runs per game, while its opponents are batting .303 and scoring 7.7 runs per game. The Gorillas have a 6.58 team ERA. MSSU is batting .307 as a team and scoring 7.8 runs per game. The Lions have a 5.60 team ERA.
