EMPORIA, Kan. — The Emporia State University volleyball team collected its seventh conference victory with a 3-1 win against Pittsburg State University Friday (Nov. 2). The Hornets defeated the Gorillas 25-13, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23.
ESU (13-17, 7-10 MIAA) got a match-high 15 kills from Yuchen Du, while Tatum Graves added twelve kills. Emma Dixon recorded 46 assists for the Hornets, with Allie Maloney compiling 27 digs.
Pitt State (19-11, 7-10 MIAA) had 44 kills on 169 attempts hitting .077 as a team. Marissa Bates led the team with a 10 kills and Lauren Regier followed with nine kills. Brianna Richard contributed 39 assists, while Marissa Bates led the defense with 18 digs in the match. 
 
The Gorillas will return to action Saturday (Nov. 3) when the Gorillas travel to No. 11 Washburn University at 2 p.m.
