PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team's weekend series against Missouri Western State University has been moved up a day due to the long range weather forecast for St. Joseph, Mo. The Gorillas and Griffons now will face one another starting Thursday (Mar. 22) with a 1 p.m. game. The two teams will play at 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday as well.

Pitt State enters the series 16-9 overall and 8-5 in MIAA play. The Gorillas have lost four of their last five games, including a 7-6 road decision to Northeastern State University Tuesday at Tahlequah, Okla. Western (14-9, 7-3 MIAA) comes into the series on a nine-game winning streak. The Griffons claimed a 7-6 win in 11 innings over Emporia State University Tuesday.
