Gorillas Home Game vs. MSSU Pushed Back to Wednesday

PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team's home game against Missouri Southern State University has been pushed back a day due to local rain showers. The Gorillas and Lions will now meet at 1 p.m. (CST) Wednesday (Mar. 28) at Al Ortolani Field.

Pitt State brings a 19-9 overall record and an 11-5 MIAA mark into Wednesday's action. The Gorillas, who currently are tied for fourth place in the MIAA standings (with NWMSU), swept a three-game conference series from Missouri Western State University last week at St. Joseph, Mo.

MSSU is 18-9 overall and 6-7 in the MIAA. The Lions snapped a six-game losing streak with a 1-0 win in 10 innings against Emporia State University in their last game Sunday (Mar. 25). MSSU is starting an eight-game road swing with Wednesday's action against Pitt State, which is conversely beginning an eight-game homestand against the Lions.
