PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team will open a three-game MIAA series against the University of Central Oklahoma Sunday (Apr. 8). The Gorillas and Bronchos will play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. (CST) at Al Ortolani and close out the series with a 1 p.m. contest Monday.

UCO comes into the weekend series in first place in the MIAA standings. The Bronchos sport a 25-10 overall record and a 17-4 mark in conference action. Pitt State is 22-11 overall and 14-7 in MIAA play. The Gorillas, winners of three straight games, sit in fourth place in the conference standings.

The two teams originally were scheduled to play single games Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Apr. 6-8) but the start to the series was postponed due to inclement weather.
