No. 13 Ichabods Hand Gorillas 3-0 Setback

PITTSBURG — The No. 13 Washburn University volleyball team posted a straight set victory over Pittsburg State University Saturday (Sept. 29) at John Lance Arena. The Ichabods defeated the Gorillas 25- 12, 25-12, 25-15.

Allison Maxwell (10) and Genna Berg (9) combined for 19 kills in the match to pace Washburn (19-0, 7-0 MIAA). Faith Rottinghaus added 14 digs and Shayla Conner finished the match with 28 assists.

Pitt State (15-5, 4-3 MIAA) got a team-leading five kills from Marissa Bates and Erika Ivkov. Marissa Bates paced the defense with 9 digs, while Camryn Blanton recorded 14 assists.
