TOPEKA — The No. 3 ranked Washburn University Ichabods defeated Pittsburg State University Gorillas in straight sets Friday (Nov. 8). The Ichabods won with set scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-13.
With the loss the Gorillas fall to 12-14 overall and 7-10 in the MIAA while the Ichobods improve to 23-2 overall and 14-2 in the conference.
The Gorillas were paced by Claire Sandvig, who was the top attacker with five kills on the night.
Pitt State remains on the road for Saturday (Nov. 9) tilt with Emporia State with first set scheduled for 3 p.m.
