PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University baseball team's non-conference game against Emporia State University scheduled for Tuesday (Apr. 30) has been canceled due to the threat of impending rain showers. The game will not be rescheduled.

The Gorillas will wrap up their regular season slate when they travel to Hays, Kan., for a three-game MIAA series beginning Friday (May 3).

Pitt State is 25-19 overall and 17-13 in MIAA play. The Gorillas, who took two of three games from MIAA rival Missouri Southern State University last weekend, climbed into a tie for fifth place in the conference standings (with Lindenwood University) heading into the final weekend of regular season play.
