PITTSBURG -- The hot shooting Missouri Western State University men's basketball team converted 53.7 percent of its shots on the strength of 19 3-4oint field goals en route to a 95-79 victory over Pittsburg State University Wednesday (Feb. 12) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
Reese Glover led a balanced Griffons attack with 19 points to lead MWSU (14-11, 10-4 MIAA) to its seventh straight win. Jaron Thames added 18 points, while Tyus Millhollin (17), Tyrell Carroll (14) and Tyree Martin (10) all scored in double figures as well.
Ray Elliott and Jah-Kobe Womack paced Pitt State (9-14, 5-9 MIAA) with 16 points apiece. A.J. Walker added 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals for the Gorillas, while Antonio Givens II also scored 10 points.
