No. 1 NWMSU Rolls to 95-60 Win Over Pitt State


PITTSBURG -- Trevor Hudgins and Ryan Hawkins combined for 51 points to lead No. 1 ranked Northwest Missouri State University to a 95-60 victory over the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team.

Hudgins scored a game high 28 points on 11 of 13 shooting from the field. As a team, NWMSU (24-1, 14-1 MIAA) shot a blistering 62.1 percent from the field (36-58) in the contest. The Bearcats shot 76 percent (19-25) in the first 20 minutes of play in building a 49-23 halftime advantage.

Hawkins added 23 points and nine rebounds for the Bearcats, while Tyler Dougherty finished with 14 points.

Jah-Kobe Womack paced Pitt State with 16 points, while Xavier Womack added 14 points and nine rebounds. A.J. Walker also finished in double figures with 10 points. The Gorillas shot 33.9 percent from the field in the game (20-59).
