Davis' Career High Leads Gorillas to Commanding Win Over Lady Miners

PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University women's basketball team finished its non-conference schedule with commanding win over the Missouri University of Science & Technology, 82-57.

The Gorillas would come out of the gates on fire scoring the first 11 points of the game. Pitt State would hold onto the 11 point lead through the first half to go into the break ahead 42-31.

The Gorillas would once again come out of the gates running, scoring the first nine points of the second half to take a quick 20 point lead over the Lady Miners. The Gorilla lead would continue the entire half.

Erin Davis would lead the Gorillas with a career high of 20 points against the Lady Miners. Grace Pyle would chip in 16 points as well as a pair of steals.

For Missouri S&T Katelynne Roberts would tally 12 points in the matchup.

Pitt State returns to action for its first MIAA matchup of the 2021-22 campaign taking on Newman University on Wednesday (Dec. 1) at 5:30 p.m. (CST).
