MANHATTAN, Kan. — Ayoka Lee scored a game high 40 points to lead the Kansas State University women's basketball team to a 101-54 victory over Pittsburg State University Friday (Nov. 5) at Bramlage Coliseum.
Lee posted a double double with 40 points and 13 rebounds in the contest, making 17 of 20 shots from the floor in the contest. Cymone Goodrich and Taylor Lauterbach each added 10 points apiece for the Wildcats.
K-State shot 54.2 percent (39-72) from the field in the game and the Wildcats benefitted from 21 offensive rebounds.
Tristan Gegg and Jayme Jackson paced the Gorillas with 13 points apiece while Karenna Gerber chipped in with 11 points. Pitt State shot 30.4 percent (17-56) from the floor in the contest.
The Gorillas will open the regular season next weekend when they travel to Weatherford, Okla., to compete in the MIAA/GAC Conference Challenge against Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
