WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The University of Central Missouri volleyball team posted a 3-0 victory over Pittsburg State University Saturday (Oct. 15). The Jennies defeated the Gorillas 25-23, 25-16, 25-18.

The loss drops Pitt State to 13-10 overall and 7-7 in MIAA play, while UCM, ranked No. 25 in the most recent AVCA/NCAA Division II Top 25 poll, improves to 14-8 (9-4 MIAA).

Lexi Miller posted a team-leading 10 kills to pace the Gorillas. Meg Auten and Janae Thurston added eight kills apiece. Marissa Bates posted 19 digs, while setter Brianna Richard finished the match with 30 assists to eclipse 3,000 career assists.

The Gorillas will return to action with a home match Tuesday (Oct. 18) against MIAA rival Newman University.
