KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Quentin Hardrict Jr. scored a team leading 23 points to help pace the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team to an 82-74 win over the University of Sioux Falls Sunday (Nov. 13).
The victory helped the Gorillas (1-1) split a pair of games in the Central Region Challenge at Municipal Auditorium.
Hardrict made seven of 11 shots from the floor as Pitt State battled back from a rough shooting night in a 60-50 loss to Winona State Friday to shoot 52.6 percent from the field against the Cougars (30-57).
Deshaun English II posted a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the contest. Albert McBride added 16 points, while R.J. Forney Jr. and Calvin Poulina chipped in with nine points apiece.
The Gorillas knocked down 15 of 28 3-point field goal attempts, shooting 53.6 percent from behind the arc.
Chase Grinde led USF (1-1) with a game high 24 points and 12 rebounds.
