KEARNEY, Neb., − The Pittsburg State University volleyball team lost to the No. 12 ranked Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney Thursday (Oct.3) 3-0.
The Gorillas and Lopers battled in the first set with the end result going to the Lopers 25-22. In the second set, the Lopers went off to a 6-1 run to start to set and held on to win the set 25-18. In the third set, the Lopers finished the match winning it 25-17.
Outside Hitter Meg Auten led the Gorillas with 11 kills on the evening. Setter Bre Richard had 29 assists on the evening. Libero Marissa Bates led the Gorillas with 13 digs.
The Gorillas will finish the regular season Friday (Oct.4) evening as they will face the Tigers of Fort Hays State. That match will start at 6 p.m.(CDT) in Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays, Kan.,
