No. 4 NWMSU Holds Off Pitt State to 80-68 Victory

PITTSBURG -- Trevor Hudgins scored a game high 20 points to help lead No. 4 ranked Northwest Missouri State University to an 80-68 victory over Pittsburg State University at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court Thursday (Feb. 10).
The Bearcats (22-3, 15-2 MIAA) knocked down 12 3-point field goals and made eight more baskets than the Gorillas (6-17, 5-12 MIAA) to hold off Pitt State.
The Gorillas converted 22 of 30 free throw attempts, outscoring NWMSU 22-10 at the foul line.
Bobby Arthur-Williams Jr. led three Pitt State players in double figures with 17 points. Cameron Huefner added 11 and R.J. Lawrence chipped in with 10.
Diego Bernard (19) and Wes Dreamer (11) also scored in double figures for NWMSU.
 
Pitt State will return to action Saturday (Feb. 12) when the Gorillas host Missouri Western State University at 3:30 p.m.
