EDMOND, Okla. — Oklahoma Baptist University pounded out 10 runs on 10 hits Monday (Feb. 7) as the Bison defeated the Pittsburg State University baseball team, 10-4, in the Edmond First Pitch Classic at Wendell Simmons Field.
OBU (1-1) plated three runs in the third inning and added four more in the sixth and three runs in the seventh.
Paul Panduro (0-1) took the loss for the Gorillas (1-1), allowing three runs in 4.7 innings of work. Kaden Fowler led the Pitt State offense, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs. He belted a pair of home runs in the contest. Cruz Aranda also went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
The Gorillas will wrap up their three-day action with a 2 p.m. match-up against Northern State University.
